Coal Miners' Daughters Exhibit

This immersive exhibit offers visitors a unique window into their stories. On display are autographed photos, stage-worn memorabilia, and rare treasures like Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty’s tour jackets, and even the iconic Crisco can featured in Loretta’s famed TV commercials. These items aren’t just museum pieces—they are symbols of grit, heritage, and the powerful voices that rose from the coalfields to the world stage.
The exhibit serves as a sister collection to the US 23 Country Music Highway Exhibit, also housed in the Welcome Center. While that exhibit celebrates stars like Dwight Yoakam, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Chris Stapleton, the Coal Miner’s Daughters Exhibit shines a spotlight on the women who broke barriers and reshaped country music from a distinctly Appalachian perspective.
